The ND-BG Lady Knights Basketball Team were treated to lunch this afternoon by the 1989 ND-BG Lady Knights Basketball team, the last ND-BG women's basketball team to take home a Sectional title.
30 years later, Assistant Coach and member of the '89 team, Suze Kienzle is watching her daughters, Abigail '19 and Megan '21, compete as part of the 2019 squad. The present day Lady Knights are eager to raise their own Sectional banner to hang beside the one captured by the '89 Lady Knights.
Here's hoping history repeats itself this Friday night at HVCC when ND-BG takes on North Warren at 6pm for the Class D Section 2 Championship! Special thanks go out to the '89 Lady Knights for their generous surprise gift: Megan McGuinness, Stephanie Ferradino, Catherine Bintz, Karen Cook, Kristine Christiansen, Tina Giardinelli, Maureen Curtin, and Charlene Fields.
