Dear NDBG Parents and Families.
Whew! We made it. We have reached the end of our school year and the beginning of a well-deserved summer break for all of us. I know you have heard all the clichés, but in this unprecedented year we as the NDBG community achieved so much. Your students and our extraordinary teachers have completed a school year like no other. We stretched ourselves to show how we can grow as individuals, as students, and as a school.
This year we once again have a 100% graduation rate and our seniors earned more than 6.5 million dollars in scholarships and grants for continuing their college education. We have excelled in the classroom, on the courts and fields, on the stage, in the mock trial halls, and in giving back to our community. We did this together when times were tough.
So, while it may be quiet in the halls over the summer, in the background we are always making plans for the upcoming school year. You can support our school over the summer by using the Box Tops for Education app and scanning your shopping receipts. Likewise, you can link your Price Chopper card to NDBG so we can continue to earn Tools for Schools. These small steps allow us to get needed school supplies into the building. We are also looking for volunteers to help our School Board make even greater improvements to the school. Please take a moment and consider volunteering for one of these committees. Everyone has a talent to share so please join us.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our annual Golf Tournament due to the current circumstances. The tournament is the only fundraiser for our sports programs. You can still support our sports through donations via FACTS and our UNgolf Tournament. No donation is too small to make a difference to our athletes.
The last six months have been a whirlwind for so many reasons. We continue to be grateful for your support of our mission to educate your children. Have a great summer. I look forward to chatting with you in September about our fundraising for the 20/21 school year.
Please, if you have an idea to share reach out to me via email.
