In the 2018 season, the Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons Fall Drama Club, with permission from TRW, will bring everyone’s favorite, spooky family to our stage in “The Addams Family” Musical!
The TRW website says it best:
The Addams Family features an original story, and it’s every parent’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.
The cast of 25, from grades 6-12, will dance the tango and the twist, and sing the songs of darkness. A stage crew of 20 additional students will support the effort through lighting, sound, stage setting, and costume management. Mrs. Linda Neidl and Mr. Adam Biggs are directing this year’s production, ably assisted by Mr. Michael Purcell, class of ’74, our musician extraordinaire. Will Gomez fix his relationship with Morticia? Will Wednesday stay with Lucas? Will Pugsley lose his sister? Will Fester find love? Will Lurch ever move any faster?
Plan to attend one of the performances of our musical to find out the answer to these questions! Evening performances begin at 7pm on November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Ticket prices are $10 and $12 and may be purchased at the door, or by contacting Mrs. Knutti at knuttic@nd-bg.org. We invite you and your family to come and spend an evening with the Addams Family!
